Al Nicholls has confirmed his attendance at Windsor this Wednesday:-
Hi Geoff,
Thanks for the nag.
I am back at the King & Castle this Wednesday, with Rex Bennett (drums) & Bob Haddrell (piano).
Sorry for the late notice, the nature of the contract means it is only renewed on a monthly basis, that means we only find out at the beginning of the month who is booked. That, coupled with an extremely busy weekend!!
I am happy to say , I will also be at the King & Castle on the 19th September with a trio, yet to be confirmed.
Cheers, Al Nicholls
I hope some of you can make it.

Hi Geoff,
Just thought you might like to know about a few events happening as part of Windsor festival...
A British jazz legend will taking part in Windsor Festival this September. On Sunday 16 September Humphrey Lyttelton will be playing in the beautiful surroundings of Cumberland Lodge. Lawn tickets are just £10, or there is the option to get a perfect view from raked seating; bring a picnic and enjoy a wonderful al fresco afternoon in the lodge’s beautiful grounds. Jazz will also feature in a concert by Jacqui Dankworth at Windsor Parish Church on 21 September; she will be accompanied by the unique Brodsky Quartet, with a broad ranging repertoire of jazz and folk that includes music by John Dankworth and Richard Rodney Bennett. Also as part of the festival, on 22 September, is an evening with singer Gary Williams who has sung with leading British Big Bands as well as performing to packed houses at Ronnie Scott’s and London’s Pizza on the Park. Taking place in the Parade Ring Restaurant in Ascot Racecourse’s spectacular new Grandstand the evening will begin with a champagne reception and include a sumptuous three-course meal.
